I am thrilled to join award-winning trumpeter and music educator Madison Sinan (pictured) in the announcement of a brand new consortium and the creation of a brand-new Sonatina for Trumpet and Piano!

The new 6-to-8-minute work will delve into a deep exploration of the value of forging and cultivating healthy human connections; prepare for a piece showcasing multiple meters and intricate harmonies, celebrating diverse perspectives, shared values, personal (and spiritual) growth, and resilience through kinship.

Instructions to join the consortium are listed below; we hope you will consider joining us!

Madison Sinan is an active trumpet player and teacher in the Indianapolis and Denver areas. She is a founding member of The Calla Project and currently holds the position of Third Trumpet with The Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra. She holds a Masters degree in trumpet performance from CU Boulder and a Bachelor’s degree in music education from Messiah University. Read More: [link to full bio].

Frequently Asked Questions:

What is a consortium? In a consortium, multiple people or groups have the opportunity to contribute to a new piece of music for exclusive benefits at a price considerably lower than a traditional commission. One individual or group typically makes a higher payment to serve as the leader of the consortium, and that individual or group typically holds the privilege of giving the world premiere. This consortium's leader is Madison Sinan.

Do I have to be a trumpet player to join? No, but the piece will be written specifically for trumpet! Anyone who wishes to support this project can join and will receive the same benefits, whether they play the instrument or not.

How old do I have to be to join? There are no age limits to join the consortium, but persons under the age of 18 will be asked to have a parent, guardian, or teacher submit on your behalf.

Will this piece be for sale to the public once it's complete? Yes, but not immediately. After the consortium ends on November 2nd, 2024, the piece will re-enter the market for sale to the general public on March 2nd, 2025. This gives a brief exclusivity period for consortium members to plan their own performances if they wish to be among the first to perform the piece.

Do I have to perform the piece if I join the consortium? Nope! There will be no requirement for consortium participants to perform this piece during the exclusivity period, or at all.

Does the email list discount apply to consortium purchases? Yes! Members of my email list can use their 5% discount code when joining the consortium to receive up to $5 off! Visit the home page to sign up for my email list.

Can I gain or use rewards points when joining this consortium? Of course! If you have created a free account on my website, your purchase will earn rewards points just like any other sheet music purchase. You may also use previously-obtained reward points for a discounted purchase. Click here to create a free account and gain rewards points.

I was told that the members of the previous consortium would receive a discount to the new consortium. Is this still true? Yes. If you were a member of my trumpet sonata or brass quintet consortium, please see the email you used for that consortium for information on joining this consortium at a discounted price. If you do not have access to your email anymore, please contact me via email using your new or replaced email address so that you can be accounted for.

What's the best way to reach you if I have more questions? All consortium questions can be sent to msgrantmusic+consortium@gmail.com. Either I or a member of my team will get back to you as soon as possible!
